This accident investigation course gives you the tools to respond effectively when incidents happen at work. You’ll learn why investigations matter, the steps involved in carrying them out, and what can go wrong when accidents are ignored.

It’s designed for managers and team leads who need to understand both the practical process and the legal responsibilities involved.

By the end, you’ll know how to:

• Define what accident investigation means and why it’s important

• Carry out a structured investigation step-by-step

• How to prepare an accident investigation checklist for the workplace

• Understand the impact of not investigating workplace incidents

The accident investigation online course contains all the learning you need to investigate workplace accidents. At the end of the course is an assessment containing 5 questions. You must answer 4 questions correctly to pass. If you fail to answer 4 or more questions correctly, you will be given the opportunity to try again. Upon successful completion of the assessment you will be able to access your certificate.

You do not need to complete the course in full in one sitting. If you exit a module part way through, you will be able to return to the same point when you next log in.
