Every employee has the right to work in an environment that is safe, respectful, and free from discrimination or intimidation. Sexual harassment is not just a breach of workplace standards; it is unlawful under UK law. It can have lasting emotional and professional consequences for those affected and serious legal and reputational implications for employers.

This course is designed to help you understand what sexual harassment is, how it can appear in different forms, what the law says, and what actions you can take if you experience or witness it. It will also explain what your manager or supervisor should do to ensure that the workplace culture supports dignity and equality for all.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Understand what constitutes as sexual harassment.
  • Be able to state the relevant legislation and how they protect employees.
  • Understand where sexual harassment can take place, including outside the workplace.
  • Be able to explain the role of managers and leaders in shaping workplace culture.
  • Know what steps to take if you experience or witness sexual harassment.
