Undertaking a fire safety awareness online course is beneficial to you and your business. Risk Safety Services provides a course, designed so you understand the key elements of fire safety and being a fire warden. IIRSM, a charity for those responsible for managing risks, has approved the training for additional peace of mind.
In the fire safety awareness online course, you will learn skills to enhance your knowledge as a fire warden. Firstly, you will cover topics including how fires begin and develop so you can be aware of issues in the workplace. Your study will also focus on how you can reduce incidents related to fire. Finally, you will explore the different firefighting apparatus and understand the types of fires they are designed to tackle.
The course is broken down into easy to follow sections so you can work at your own pace;
- How fires start and spread
- Fire prevention methods
- Firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers
- What to do in the event of a fire, including the fire evacuation and assembly points
The course will teach you about your roles and responsibilities as a fire warden so you can lead your team in the event of an emergency.
The Course Format
You should allow approximately 1 hour to complete the fire safety awareness online course. You do not need to complete the course in one sitting and you will return to the same point when you next log in.
At the end of the fire safety awareness online course is an assessment containing 15 questions. You must answer 12 of 15 questions correctly to pass. Upon successful completion of the assessment, you will be able to access your certificate.
